BUCHANAN WEDDING | RANSOM CANYON, TEXAS

Introducing Zyler and Breklyn Buchanan!

I have loved every step in the process of walking Breklyn and Zyler through their engagement to their wedding day. I always trust that the Lord brings me the right clients, the ones that I am supposed to support and encourage through their engagement season and wedding day. Time and time again, I find my own life deeply enriched by the brides and grooms that I have the priveledge of photographing. Zyler and Breklyn are incredible people who come from FABULOUS families. These families that are FULL of *kindness, support, generosity, and integrity.* Another stand out characteristic of the Wentz and Buchanan families are that they both love and serve the Lord and live their lives to honor Him. This overflows into all of their childrens' lives, and is so evident in Zyler and Brek. They love their people and each other well. I'm so thankful for the Lord's faithfulness in leading these two to marriage. I truly believe that Zyler and Breklyn have GREAT things in front of them as they continue to seek the Lord and grow with each other!

This wedding. What a celebration!

It was a day full of happy tears, laughs, golden light, and more beautiful details than I could possibly fit in this one post! This wedding had SO many logistics and details, and the team from The Socialite are to thank for making this event run seamlessly! Allison Childress leads this coordinating team and put her heart and soul into every moment. I highly recommend her if you are needing a planner/coordinator in Lubbock! She was a joy to work with!! The florist team from Dayspring Design truly took Breklyn's vision and made it spectacular. This wedding was the owner of Dayspring Design, Carol Gary's LAST wedding as a wedding vendor!!! Just thinking about that makes me cry! *She has served countless brides and grooms with the purest heart.* Dayspring Designs did the catering and florals for MY wedding, so photographing their last wedding was a full circle moment for me! They truly knocked it OUT OF THE PARK with spectacular arrangements at every corner.

Due to Covid, Zyler and Breklyn had to move their ceremony from their original location to The Ranch House at Ransom Canyon. Guests viewed the waterfront ceremony serenaded by a string quartet and under white tents to stay cool in the extreme Texas heat. After the exchanging of handwritten vows, everyone headed out in boats and trollys to a reception at the bride's parents' home.

The golden hour sun hit the reception just in time for introductions and first dances, making these moments feel like actual magic. After the reception began, we were able to steal the newlyweds away from some intimate sunset portraits (one of my favorite things), and I'm so glad we did! These photos ended up being some of my favorites from the day. We ALL danced the night away thanks to the musical talents of the FANTASTIC Downtown Fever Band from DFW. This party will be marked in my mind and heart because it was more than just a fun time it was a celebration of family, friendship, love, support, and JOY for Zyler and Breklyn's lives to begin together!

CONGRATULATIONS to Breklyn and Zyler!
