I'm about ready to get adopted into Clayton + Katy Beth's family. Either side of the family. They are just GOOD, West Texas people. You know what I mean? Actually, they're great West Texas people.
Every moment of wedding planning with Katy Beth has been wonderful. Since our first meeting that her sister and mom tagged along with, I knew we were a great fit for each other. Every step of the way has been fun, joyful, lighthearted, and life-giving, although not free from challenges!
Clayton and Katy Beth were set to tie the knot at Kitalou Gin with a LARGE gathering of their friends and family. The week before their big day, public gatherings got cut from 100 people, down to 50, then to 10. To say this was disappointing would be an understatement, but it didn't stop these lovebirds and their families from throwing a WONDERFUL backyard wedding with their closest people, complete with a surprise wedding parade from the guests who were not able to attend.
If anything, Clayton + Katy Beth's flexibility and great attitude through all of the changes showed me that they will be able to take on whatever comes their way in marriage with the same heart. These two are set up to succeed and THRIVE in marriage!
We are celebrating with everyone here in a couple weeks, and I can't wait for The Shaw's to have the party that they deserve, because they absolutely deserve to be celebrated in the biggest way!
From the Bride:
“Wow. What a day! It was not at all how I had first pictured my wedding day, but it ended up being the perfect day. We had the best support system through all of the crazy changes with our families and friends willing to help out and do whatever to help us accomplish the most beautiful, intimate backyard wedding. Through this experience once of the greatest things I learned was how loving my people are. And at the end of the day it didn’t matter where we got married, but I got to marry the love of my life and we got to start our life together!”
