THE LUCAS WEDDING | NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

Talk about a DREAM destination + couple! When the opportunity arose to photograph one of my old bible college roommates in NASHVILLE, I jumped! Kristen is one of the world's sweetest humans. We lived together for a year in 2008 (I'm aging myself lol), and has been there for me through so many important moments in my life! When she got engaged to Caleb, I knew that I wanted to photograph her wedding! I'm so thankful that they brought me and my husband out to join in with this intimate and beautiful celebration! It was literally right on the cusp of Covid-19/the global shutdown, and it's actually the only wedding that I have photographed this year that hasn't been rescheduled or downsized!

I'm also so thankful that Michael and I got some time in Nashville! We had never been, and Caleb and Kristen sent us the BEST recommendations for things to see and EAT while we were there. If you know me even a little bit, you know that FOOD makes or breaks a trip for me, and Nashville did not disappoint even a tiny bit!

Can't wait to visit these friends again, but for now, I'm sharing my favorite shots from their very special day. 2020 is about creativity for me. After shooting weddings for the past 8 years, I can easily find myself in a rut. I know how to pose clients and take photos that they will love, but I can get into a routine of doing the same thing wedding after wedding. This year, one of my goals is to PUSH myself to try angles/poses/use lighting that stretches me creatively and is outside of my norm. I am so thankful that I did that during Kristen and Caleb's wedding, because their portraits (especially in the church) are some of my personal favorites of all the couples I've worked with! Make sure and scroll down to check them out!

To Caleb and Kristen, WOW. Thank you so much for bringing Michael and I to help celebrate you and tell your story. We loved your wedding, your city, and frankly, we really LOVE you two together. A fantastic fit! Congratulations on your marriage!
