Breklyn + Zyler's big day is just a few days away, and I can't WAIT to start my summer of weddings by celebrating these two! We photographed their engagement session in the middle of this crazy pandemic, and it was honestly a high point of my entire quarantine! I LOVED spending time with these two! For one, they could not stop smiling the entire session which made it so easy to photograph their obvious joy and excitement for their upcoming nuptuals and the journey to get there.
Planning a wedding during a pandemic has been challenging for so many of my 2020 couples. Breklyn + Zyler have been TROOPERS with the help of their families and fabulous planner Allison Childress from The Socialite! Allison has taken such wonderful care of this sweet couple and I highly recommend her as a planner!
From the bride:
"Zyler and I are high school sweethearts. We met when he was 16 and I was 15 ( we were babies)! We did not officially date until Junior year of high school and continued through freshman year of collage. I was in Abilene and he was at tech so when Sophomore year came around we decided to take a break and to enjoy collage and where the Lord had us individually for that season. Although that was not easy and a lot of growing was done during that time, neither of us regret it as the Lord grew us as individuals and was preparing us for what was to come. By Christmas break of our Senior year Zyler and I both were single and he reached out to see what the last 2 1/2 were like for me and that he wanted to catch up. We went on a "quick" date meeting over frozen yogurt and 3 hours later it was like we hadn't missed a beat. We both took the next part of the semester to enjoy our friends as well as truly pray about the decision to date again. By April, after seeking wise counsel and being in prayer, we decided to intentionally pursue a relationship. With bo th families being on board and the Lord making it very clear, by August we were talking about our timeline and on November 29th we got engaged!!"
